Trundle, those lists are normally saturated with heavyweights, and people looking back with misty eyes.

I wasn't around when Ali was fighting, but pretty much every "Greatest boxer" list I've seen from boxing experts/publications/journalists would have Ali in the top 3.
Mayweather rarely makes it into the top 10.

I don't think Mayweather has "ducked" Khan.
Amir has only recently got back up to the level where a fight with Mayweather is realistic.

Khan stands a better chance now than he did a couple of years ago, and suspect Mayweather knows that.
Not saying Khan would win, but as Mayweather inevitably slows as he gets older, someone with hands as fast as Khan has enough to trouble him.
Mayweather isn't stupid, he's all about his legacy now, and will only take he fights he's absolutely 100 certain he can win.

I'd love to see Khan given a shot. The way Mayweather has dodged him makes me think he would see him as some kind of threat.
Had Pacquiao v Mayweather happened all those years ago, then we would have seen one of the best attacking boxers vs one of the best defensive boxers. Sadly, it never happened.

Mayweather Pacquiao will not happen.
Mayweather-Khan is FAR more likely.
I don't like the bloke, and I prefer exciting fighters like Marquez and Pacquiao but you have to respect Mayweather's record and defensive skills.

didnt even mention Cotto's fight with Martinez. He's had a few under his new trainer and is showing some real boxing skills.
they've fought once so i have no reason to think Cotto couldnt come down to fight him again.

Goldenboy were still with Pacquiao at the time the fight was ear marked but never happened, even the money side of things were agreed. Fell apart because Floyd demanded certain stipulations in regards to the drug testing and Manny refused because he claimed it would drain him of his energy during a training camp

Cotto is at 160 now and even when at Floyd`s highest weight of 154 was found wanting by Austin Trout. A great fighter and arguably Floyd`s toughest opponent since Castillo but beating up a shot Martinez with a fucked knee does not suggest he is back to his very best
